Barnamezők MagyarországonBROWNFIELD SITES IN HUNGARYKriszta KádárDETUROPE - The Central European Journal of Regional Development and Tourism 2011, 3(2):122-141 | DOI: 10.32725/det.2011.011 In the last decades, in the course of the deindustrialisation, a huge quantity of brownfields have been arisen all over Europe. Those problems were aggravated in Western and Eastern Europe as well by the evacuation and abandonment of hundreds of military and railway sites (which were in most cases sorely contaminated). Brownfields have negative effect on their environment, on communities, and their effective reuse is fairly difficult. Their rehabilitation could enlarge investment possibilities, ameliorate urban life quality and urban competitiveness, decrease urban sprawl. In our study we examine the reasons and conditions of brownfields' development and we design their main types to understand, how we could promote their effective reuse. |

Hajnalka BorbélyDETUROPE - The Central European Journal of Regional Development and Tourism 2010, 2(1):32-46 | DOI: 10.32725/det.2010.003 My paper presents the rehabilitation ambitions of the city management and the population of Veszprém to get into focus the earlier attractive parts of the city. Veszprém has been liked by the visitors, because of its special conditions: for example it is situated near by the Lake Balaton. The city managers transformed Veszprém several times for expectations of political claims in its long historical past. Some parts of the cityscape we can only develop, the other parts which neglected and started decay must be reconstructing and rehabilitating for that aim to protect and save them for the generation of the future. |

Kamil Pícha, Vladimír DvořákDETUROPE - The Central European Journal of Regional Development and Tourism 2009, 1(1):62-70 | DOI: 10.32725/det.2009.005 The paper aims to find different ways of how to consider a potential benefit of transport to the development of rural areas or tourist destinations. The role of transport is quite often underestimated when creating a development strategy in the target area. Numerous papers and discussions show that transport play certain economic and also social role in human existence. Benefits could be found from the point of view of both transport infrastructure and services of public transport. |
